Refer A Patient
Thank you for visiting this page to refer your client to me for help with their problem behaviour. In order to provide high standards of care and training, I only see cases on vet referral (as per the code of conduct for ABTC). As part of this referral, I ask for the referral form below to be completed and also request a copy of the patient's medical records (including any test results) to be uploaded. If preferred, the information can be emailed to collieconsultant@gmail.com. After the consultation, I will contact you and send a copy of the behavioural report. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
How do you know I will support your client?
- I'm a full member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors (APBC).
- I'm an ABTC (Animal Behaviour & Training Council) registered Clinical Animal Behaviourist (CAB) and Animal Training Instructor (ATI).
- I have an MSc in Clinical Animal Behaviour at Lincoln University
- I'm a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner,
- I have over 30 years of experience in living with, and training, border collies and other breeds.
Although my business is focused primarily on border collies, I regularly work with other breeds on referral from local vet practices.
What happens next?
Once I receive your referral I will contact your patient's owners to arange a date for the initial 2-3 hour consultation. Following this, the owners will receive a detailed behaviour and training report, and I will contact you to discuss anything relevant and send over a copy of the report for your records. I will then work with the owners to support them with the training. If you need to contact me at any time, please email on collieconsultant@gmail.com.
